Newport’s January Swells of 2012

Minus a few sneaky days, the lower jetties of Newport Beach have been pretty quiet this winter…Until a massively hyped-up series of winter swells drifted into our swell window, sounding the horn section of the entire marching band that is the internet.  Everyone and their dad broke out their thick boards for the fun brown peaks that strolled into Newport and the surrounding areas.  The swells were met with absolutely beautiful sunny California weather and glassy conditions for days and days.  These are a few pics from the days in Newport.
